Summary/Abstract: Exorcism and exorcist in the canonical discipline of the Catholic Church. The study aims to present an overview of the reality of the exorcism and the exorcist in the Catholic Church, having as a starting point the disciplinary and canonical dimension, as it results from the canonical law, the interventions of the Magisterium and other theological studies that deal with the argument. The liturgical dimension of this reality is then evaluated on the basis of the differences presented by the different traditions of the Catholic Church, especially Latin and Byzantine. Finally, it will be presented briefly, with the clear intention to promote the deep understanding and significance of this reality, but also to mark the attention they enjoyed in the last period, some masterful interventions regarding both the exorcisms and the healing prayers.
