Summary/Abstract: The Sacrament of Baptism – Interconfessional Issues. The Sacrament of Baptism and Holy Sacraments of Initiation, in general, are major issues in interconfessional dialogues, bilateral or in the Ecumenical Movement. In any of the Sacraments consensus seems not to be so great between the Orthodox Church and the Western Churches Western as on Sacrament of Baptism. The Doctrine of Baptism of the three largest Christian confessions is a consequence of their doctrine on original sin and its consequences, anthropology, straightening and ecclesiology. The main condition that all Orthodox, Roman-Catholic and Protestants recognize is the celebration in the name of the Holy Trinity. Baptism is a sacramental act, not a magic one, it is not just a symbolic act, by which we adhere to Christianity declaratory. The Sacrament of Holy Baptism, instituted by the Savior and celebrated by Church, has profound dogmatic significance and great importance in the plan of subjective salvation, being a birth from above, an entry in the family of the Church, the starting point of ecclesial Hypostasis to full communion with God in eternity.
