Summary/Abstract: The first step in creating an effective staff evaluation is to determine why you want to assess your employees. These reasons may be to determine the basis for changes in compensation or position within the company, to determine if the employee is in training period and makes appropriate progresses, to determine if an employee correspond or not to the workplace, etc. Knowing the purpose of the evaluation is important because each goal has a set of objectives and tools.
