Summary/Abstract: In order to become able to understand the “universe” of children with autism spectrum disorders – often a universe governed by a different way of thinking, communicating, behaving and socializing – parents need to accept the disorder’ characteristics and to be fully aware of their mission during the therapeutic process of school and social integration. Using focus group interview with 8 couples of parents of children with autism spectrum disorders integrated in specials schools and inclusive schools from Ploiesti, we have identified possible counselling needs and objectives for these parents.
