Summary/Abstract: The concept of personal development draws an increasing attention to both researchersand professionals in fields such as psychological counseling, psychotherapyor professional career planning and development. This article summarizes the methodologicalbackground and the main results of a correlational study carried out in a sampleof 56 teachers working in pre-university education. The purpose of the investigationwas to explore the relationship between the dimensions of personal development and theindicators of psychological and subjective well-being. The practical implications of thefindings of the study are related to the objective of increasing the quality of the teachingstaff in the Romanian pre-university education.
