Summary/Abstract: In the article are presented studies concerning personal development of teachers.The ideas of the authors are summarized in the following concepts: individuality,self-actualization, intrinsic motivation, personal development needs, the fulfillment ofthe Self. Teachers represent the formative groups for adult education, and their opinionwith regard to the need of personal development are exposed in a hierarchical form.
