Summary/Abstract: Reflection of the Sarajevo assassination in literature has had great proportion, so during a hundred years this topic was so fascinating for writers, who have used it to "open" a discourse with the past, such as, in different ways, have shaped cultural memory and rememberance. This theme in the literature is presented through all its forms of poetry, novels, short stories, essays, memoirs, dramas. But it should be pointed out that its maximum was observed and most effectively presented through poetry, through poems where Gavrilo Princip was a key figure. There are different discourses about the assassinator, he was presented differently as hero, victim, killer, fanatic, but rarely, Gavrilo Princip and topic of assassination was presented by Abdulah Sidran's way, outlining the psychological state of assassinator just before the murder. For this author, unlike many others, Gavrilo Princip was used exclusively as an inspiration, and his poems are far from ideological discourse, which is very common in the observation of this topic in the literature.
