Summary/Abstract: In this paper, I bring into discussion the concepts of Zionism and assimilation, as introduced in Mihail Sebastian’s novel For Two Thousand Years… Some critical points of view regarding these movements will be referred to in order to highlight the novelty of Sebastian’s approach and how he introduced these concepts within his fictional universe.
