Summary/Abstract: The concept of human security must be seen in the context of trends in the codification and interpretation of international humanitarian law. Unlike the classical and modern period, when the emphasis was on the interest and authority of the state, today, human rights are put at the forefront, as well as their ways of ensuring, including in times of armed conflict or various forms of crises. However, humanitarian assistance can no longer be seen only in the light of the commitments made by certain institutions at international level, but much wider, especially through the increasingly active involvement of states and various non-governmental actors. Specifically, in the context of such an approach, we can deal with the threats and crises facing the international community at the moment.
