Summary/Abstract: The determination of the legal status of the Caspian Sea with the Aktau Agreementon 12 August 2018 increases the cooperation of the coastal countries. This is thebasis for a new regional cooperation in the Caspian region. The article discussesthe possibility of establishing a regional organization of coastal states, which canbe named as “Caspian Cooperation Organization”. In this context, considering thetrade and transportation routes such as “the International North-South TransportCorridor” and “the Middle Corridor” which are developing around the sea, the policiesof the Caspian countries towards the sea are compared. According to the article, it isforeseen that all such coastal countries will be members of this organization whensuch a new organization is established.
