Theproject is not just an economic initiative. With the proposition that the economicinfrastructure determines the political superstructure, the process evolves into thehegemon-challenger struggle. The United States develops policies against Chinathrough the rimland and periphery countries. One of the issues in the USA’s recentIran policy agenda is the Belt and Road Initiative.
