Summary/Abstract: From ancient times, the exploitation of energy resources has intersected with power disputes on international scene and with various forms of local, regional or world wars. In this paper we analyze the role of energy resources, especially oil and natural gases, in crises and conflicts of the beginning of the millennium based on the “game” and the interests of the actors involved in this “oil-rush”.
