Summary/Abstract: Each culture has its own specific guidance systems. The central features of a culture system is difined as ”cultural standard”. The roots of cultural standards can be found in historical circumstances. The main features of German history are influenced in particular by: Judeo-Christian religion, the small territorial size (small territorial states) and the continuity of existential shock. This article tries to present the main culture standards of the German people and to explain the historical events that have influenced cultural standards in general.
