Summary/Abstract: The world’s vision included in the works of Gombrowicz contains an essential ethical ingredient. It is an attempt to set a man free from distorted forms resulting from interhuman relations. The very disfiguring form is, according to him, the Polish form. Gombrowicz describes its principal characteristics and points out different manners of its dialectic repeal (Aufhebung), that is to say defeating the deformation and preserving the Polish spirit. Gombrowicz does not belong to the conservative stream (“sarmatist”) of Polish culture, nor to the progressive and occidental one. It’s a “third path culture”.
