Summary/Abstract: Where is the Bosniak political mind today, does it understand reality, and has it learned enough from a long and difficult past? Does it work against itself, its own identity and the state, whether it leaves to the anti-Bosnian steam, one by one, all fortifies of Bosnian existence for short-term interests shaped by ignorance, primitivism, selfishness, incomprehension the world around it and indifferent, as an indisputable feature of a Bosniak being? And what can be the consequences of such behaviour?Today's picture of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian reality does not give much ground for optimism. While anti-Bosnian policies persistently, systematically and comprehensively work their devastating work, Bosniak political and intellectual elites continue their stagger through time, their lack of understanding of the state and its existential significance for the Bosniak people, their lack of understanding the modernity and the tragic lack of vision, understanding, knowledge and ability for a safer way to the future. If the Great Serbian idea was “switched” from the war to the peaceful path of building “the Serbian spiritual space”, what is the answer to that?If the road to failure is paved with ethnic homogenization and the rule of religious consciousness, if it is based on a falsified history that, among other things, rehabilitates fascism and all the anti-Bosnians narratives from the past, why Bosniak’s political mind agrees to that, giving even its own contribution to the Bosniak and Bosnian tragedy ? What did the Bosnian and Bosniak elites make on affirmation of civil, enlightened, democratic and secular society, to strengthen state institutions and raise awareness of Bosnia as the national state of all its citizens? And do they realize that we, together, arrived into the tunnel without exit?In 1907, Bosniak political leaders sold their Bosnian language in order to get some of the required benefits related to the purchase of land. Today they peacefully watch unification of school systems of Republika Srpska and Serbia, and their parliaments are preparing to adopt the Declaration on the survival of the Serbian people at those areas, which is an obvious continuation of the former SANU (Serbian Academy of Science and Arts) memorandum. Shortly before of the war against Bosnia in the 1990s, Bosniaks were the initiators for destruction of the democratic, civil Constitution of B-H, in order to establish a “people's agreement”, and this agreement, as said, can only be achieved by “true representatives of the people”. Since in the Constitution there were no people, and especially set-against-people that were to be reconciled, the Constitution and the Republic of B-H were abolished, and bounded flags of three ethnic communities, as it never happened before, during the thousand-year history of Bosnia. The road to the division of the state was open. Bosniaks would probably have experienced cataclysm even without that, but it might all look different that they themselves did not seek and obtained the ethnic division of their state and the rule of ethno-confessional elites. Thus the aggression was transformed into a conflict between the three warring parts, and the evil shout: “Let it be our (state), even if it was as a courtyard”, has emerged from the depths of the mythologized, medieval, retrograde consciousness that still leads and determines the measure of the Bosniak political mind. Self-orientalization and turkophilia, the deification of faith and the self-determination of Bosniaks as religious group, the insisting on the pattern “we and they” and on what separates us, denial of civil individualism and secular society, rehabilitation of fascism, general ignorance, disorganization and indifference towards everything beyond Bosniak ethnic and religious cote, cultivating the passive cult of the victim waiting for the “God’s” or someone else's justice − these are the coordinates of the gloomy geography of Bosniak and Bosnian existing under this piece of the European sky.The seal of further degradation of the state has given long-lasting indifference for Bosniaks in smaller Entity, who has been exposed to continuous discrimination, such as it has not existed in any other place in Europe, established irresponsibility and neglecting for common values and interests, inability to achieve at least minimal consensus on the basic values from which depends the fate of people and the state, lack of understanding, knowledge and vision. All this says that Bosniaks and their political elites today are ready to “destroy themselves”.“Bosniaks themselves cannot save Bosnia, but they can destroy it by themselves,” said academician Esad Duraković. In order to save themselves and the state, they must, at all costs, find a measure of community, equality, enlightenment, secularism, democratic and civil principles, and this seems to be an impossible mission today. To Bosniak political mind remains, therefore, the second possibility − further degradation of Bosnia and Bosniaks, and many of them work on it in full strength. Considering the international community, which does not allow the dispersing of the state at the moment, we could say: We will not sink, but we do not have salvation.
