From the Weave Lexicon of the Village Trnjane near Aleksinac

Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the subject of research is a weave lexicon in one village. Work material was collected from the oldest informers of the village Trnjane near Aleksinac. Informers are grandmothers, due to the fact that weaving is an activity performed by women. The aim of the research is to collect and complete lexical expressions of a particular activity in the mentioned area. The collected material is lexical-semantical processed, and at the end there is a dictionary of all the lexems, which are accentuated by an expiratory accent – characteristic for the Prizren-Timok region. The dictionary of weave lexicon is not only linguistically valuable, it is a testimony about life that no longer exist. Also, this paper presents many phonetical, morphological, syntaxical and, firstly, lexical characteristics of speech in the village Trnjane.
