Summary/Abstract: The State Archives in Rijeka was founded in 1926 and contains around 6500 linear meters of materials organized in 1029 collections. This article, which functions as a kind of thematic guide, emphasises the collections whose materials wholly pertain to Lovran and the Lovran area until 1945, as well as the collections in which Lovran and the Lovran area until 1945 are the subject matter of particular series, cases and documents. This overview is divided into chapters according to the historical periodization by which Croatian State Archives organize collections of administration and public services. Specifically, the chapters are: first Austrian administration in Istria (until 1805), French administration in Croatian lands (1806-1813), second Austrian administration in Istria (1813-1918), Italian administration in Istria (1918-1945). For the purpose of text clarity, this layout also incorporates collections beyond administration and public services. The accuracy of the information regarding particular collections depends on their relevance and current state of archival processing.
