Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on analysing specific architectural accomplishments created in the vicinity of the Lovran creek between 1897 and 1914. The objects were analysed on the basis of preserved project and written documentation from the State Archives in Rijeka, including a detailed construction chronology, information on contracting authorities, architects and builders. The paper proposes recommendations for a more precise dating of when some buildings were erected, as well as handling the authorship of particular projects and features of architectural style. This paper aims to explore the broader context and conditions in which particular projects and buildings were constructed, in order to better explain the local situation in the field of construction in the stated time frame and the area researched.Administrative data related to the projects, i.e. construction permits, certificates of occupancy, contracts and changes in ownership, enable us to make a series of interesting assumptions and proposal for dating and attributing the projects and constructions. The paper contains analyses of projects pertaining to municipal objects, hospitality-service buildings and urban equipment. There are some non-executed projects documented as well – Villa „Zahey“ and a kursaal constructed in 193-1914 which was destroyed during World War II.
