Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the twentieth century, America, and more precisely the United States, become more than country. This was related to the development of capitalism and theemergence of an industrial society. Paul Dehns formulated the concept of „Americanization ofthe world”. In the economic sense, according to Dehns, Americanization is the modernizationof the methods of industry, trade and agriculture as well as all other areas of practicallife. In a broad sense, it is a continuous, relentless pursuit of profit, wealth and influence.Similarly, the German sociologist Max Weber created the idea of technology as a cage of thefuture, which phenomenon occurs in the most complete form in America. Martin Heideggercontinued the ideas of his predecessors. The universal reflection on reality, as a result of thephilosopher’s involvement in national socialism, has become the foundation for criticism ofthe modernization process, but also of the United States in their social, economic, cultural andpolitical dimensions
