Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this publication is to provide some insight into the latest directions of research in homiletics in German-speaking regions. Due to multitude of publications the study has been divided into two parts. The first part describes activities of the German Homiletics Association (AGH), a publishing series “Okumenische Studien zur Predigt” and homiletic theology handbooks. The second part will present, based on several dozens monographs published between 2000-2018, directions of research in German-speaking homiletics.
