Summary/Abstract: Globalisation and regionalisation represent two of the key-concepts marking the analysis on the strategic and security environment as well as international relations evolution. Globalisation and regionalisation are current processes whose complexity gave birth to multiple controversies and dilemmas, being seen by specialists in the field as either contrary or compatible. This article approaches theories on the two concepts as well as the relation between them. The analysis of the implications that the most recent world events have on the evolution of the globalisation and regionalisation processes represents the key point of this article.
