Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the problem related to the behaviour and provision of qualified assistance to people exposed to the dangerous substances. The occurrence of such events has necessitated the establishment of procedures. Service leadership for this type of event belongs to the State Fire Service and other entities of the National Firefighting and Rescue System (NFRS). As a formation equipped with the appropriate devices, the ability to fully protect rescuers and training in the field of qualified first aid is the strength of the first line. Saving lives and health of the people is the most important of the tasks imposed on NFRS and an integral part of any kind of emergency. In some cases, it is necessary to conduct an effective triage of events involving CBRN, which is a big challenge for emergency services. The paper presents the issue of the provision of qualified first aid and carries out an effective segregation by rescuers of the State Fire Service. The priority task posed on this service is to rescue and evacuate the injured from the scene and to monitor their health.
