Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the issue of the relationship between knowledge of entrepreneurs/managers and the development orientation in micro family businesses in Poland. In particular, the analysis covers selected characteristics and determinants that shape the level of knowledge of managers and the development orientation of businesses which are related to the person of the manager, the business itself and its cooperation with the environment. The study of 361 micro family businesses in Poland confirms the hypothesis of the presence of high correlation between the knowledge level of managers and the development orientation of businesses.
