Summary/Abstract: In recent years, many Polish companies associated with the timber and furniture industry have focused on the innovation, and, in particular, on the development and implementation of new or significantly improved processes, related to human resources management, consistent with global development trends. This article presents a functioning model of HRM in one of the family companies of the furniture industry. This is a company that has been in the business for 30 years and thanks to their attitude (wide open for the changes) and adoption of a long-term HRM strategy in the early stage, from the micro-company, it has become the largest employer in their region.
