Summary/Abstract: In this study, business processes responsibility has been analysed in family business environment. The introduction determines the theoretical and empirical aspect of the study. On the basis of the literature, business processes phenomenon and management/organisation of an enterprise are based on the principle of supremacy of processes over the functions. The theoretical aim includes responsibility for business processes, also in family businesses. Empirical part of the work is focused on the definition of processes, being subject to responsibility of the closest and more distant family members, as well as the personnel from outside the circle of relatives. Moreover, particular, desirable management skills and methods have been identified, in order to indicate the source of responsibility for these processes. In conclusion, the barriers and conveniences of the processes responsibility delegation have been defined.
