Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the Poznan University of Technology research group results of the Grey System Theory and the Grey Incidence Analysis methodology application for the study of family businesses. The Grey Systems Theory was applied to analyse the empirical data, since GST is appropriative for the small samples and qualitative data evaluation. The aim of the paper was to identify the barriers of the family businesses succession process and to assess what is the intensity of its impact on the process according to the successors.
