The Impact of Asymmetric Information on Crediting of Family Enterprises from the MSME Sector – Part 1

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to indicate causes and consequences of the information asymmetry occurrence in the relationship of family businesses with creditors. Firstly, the essence and genesis of the theory of asymmetric information was presented in the context of the credit market problems. Next, specific features of family businesses in Poland and Europe were characterized. Then consequences of information asymmetry and circumstances of crediting of family businesses from MSME sector were described.
