Summary/Abstract: Taking the topic of employees motivation is a result from the increasing popularity of the used tangible and intangible tools widely used in staff recruiting and boosting to growth of productivity. A review is conducted with attempt to summarize current knowledge and article includes a discussion of the main methods of motivation and also describes a survey research carried out in Russia, the USA and Poland in 2015 on employees of enterprises in the initial stage of their development and on group of students. In the paper there were showed the results of research of the most commonly used methods in start-ups to stimulate the activities of employees who do not receive regular pay at work. The article depicts their motivation to work. Moreover, the most common problems of young companies were presented, such as low operating budget and the difficulties resulting from the division of the earned profits. Hence the need for using a hybrid schemes wages that have been proposed in this article. The article also provides a critical analysis of the issue of application of methods of motivation resulting from the review of the current state of knowledge.
