Summary/Abstract: Sociology is a science that its founders developped within their own communities based on their experiences. Islamic Sociology studies have been developed to understand Muslim societies were adaptated from studies in the West and have an orientalist perspective. Recent orientalists have claimed to examine Muslim societies with a more objective sociological hypothesis. In this sense, we can point out that in France, Bruno Etienne kept developing the 'objectivity’ of this method, adding his own comprehensive concepts such as French Islam. The initial question of our study was how sociologists using sociological methods in societies where sociology emerged were studying Muslim societies. How they deal with the primary problems that concern Muslim societies and what kind of studies they have in order to solve those. In addition, we examined the solutions they brought to the Muslim existence in France and how they evaluate the Muslim community faced with the problems arising from modernity.
