Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt to state a question about the construction of heroin from Jan Brzêkowski novel 24 kochanków Perdity Loost, who is on one hand a grotesque conceptualization of femme fatale figure, and on the other hand an attempt to conceptualize a portrait of modern emancipationist. The main category, by which her textual identity is read, is desire, understood both as lust and as endeavor to give sense to her existence; both are involved with “love economy”, network of social relations and culture clichés of womanliness. Those problems are discussed from a gender perspective.
