Summary/Abstract: The article provides an analysis of the motif of wound in Franz Kafka’s both literary texts and non-fiction writings in relation to the notion of the limit. The incoherence of the object of analysis is reflected by the lack of coherent methodology; the figure of wound travels in Kafka’s writings between meanings and orders. The author employs elements of psychoanalysis, theory of abjection, reflection on language and anthropology of disease. The wound is treated here as a specific moment of the intrusion of the outside into the I that can never be fully confronted by the subject.
