The Scientific Events of the “Bukovinaˮ Institute of the Romanian Academy in 2018

Summary/Abstract: In 2018, the “Bucovinaˮ Institute organized several scientific events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Great Union of 1918. The first event was the international scientific colloquium on “Bukovina around the Great Unionˮ, held at the “Eudoxiu Hurmuzachiˮ Romanian Cultural Center from Chernivtsi / Ukraine on June 9th, 2018. The International Scientific Conference “Bukovina and Bukovinians. A Century from the Great Unionˮ, the 26th session of scientific papers and communications of the “Bucovinaˮ Institute, took place on September 28th, 2018, at the Art Gallery in Rădăuţi and September 29th, 2018, at the Romanian Cultural Center “Eudoxiu Hurmuzachiˮ in Chernivtsi. The papers were presented by researchers from Rădăuţi, Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Suceava, Iaşi, Bucharest, Chernivtsi, Krakow, Zielona Gora, Warsaw. The internal scientific colloquium “Edited and unedited documents about the events of 1918ˮ took place in Rădăuţi on October 23rd, 2018, the papers being presented by the researchers of the “Bucovinaˮ Institute. Exhibitions of old photos, presentations of book and magazines about Bukovina have completed the scientific manifestations.
