Summary/Abstract: The article describes the main characteristics and functions of distribution channels. Principles of the wholesale and retails distributor are analized. The basic principles of logistics distribution are described. Also the basic components of manipulation and conditions of the manipulative models are shown. There is the analysis of the basic benefits of participation in the supply chain as well. Warehouses and working conditions of their equipment were characterized. The article contains also the description of packaging materials and equipment for the movement of goods in the supply chain. The basic characteristics of effective customer service were investigated. Moreover, the proposition appeared about the basic ways to effectively manage the supply chain.
