Summary/Abstract: Mobility of users is becoming commonplace for many modern organizations. Trends like BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) was on the top ten of IT trends for the year 2016, which have a significant impact on IT departments in companies and public organizations. The influence of this mobile work is not limited only to IT departments, but also moved to other areas of the organization. Like any new trend brings with it many benefits for both the organization and employees, as well as many hazards and problems. The aim of the author is to discuss possibilities for the modern organization which goes in the direction of mobile working. Author shows how is changing the approach to the management of the institution to network, mobile devices, as well as the workers themselves, for whom the phrase “be at work” takes on new meaning. Also discussed will be the issues related with the threats and challenges related to the implementation of the mobile work in the institution. Not without importance are the legal conditions and the elements of the Information Security Policy for organizations that need to be changed. Is it just a trend that forces a completely different approach to many areas of the organization, or the future that develops very dynamically to which we have to prepare?
