Summary/Abstract: The structure of the economy at the local level has not undergone significantchanges during the market reforms, often maintaining a single-industry economic structure. Thearticle examines the introduction of quality management at municipal level as the support of thereform needs at all levels of government in the Republic of Moldova and Romania. It also providesa clear formulation of the main directions, mechanisms and methods for implementing effectivemeasures and procedures, using the quality management tools to improve the processes of localeconomy and municipal entities
