Summary/Abstract: The development of intermodal transport is important from the perspective of building a sustainable transport system. Computerization of the loading planning process in a regional intermodal terminal can improve the quality of service and reduce costs at the same time. The container terminal of regional importance may not be able to get regular orders and pursuit linear transportation based on the timetable. One train usually involves a diverse cargo to more than one customer. The transport takes place by means of rolling substituted by the carrier and consists of cars available at the time of compilation of the train. The most difficult is to arrange the loading plan which allows maximum use of capacity of the rolling stock. The plan must take into account the limitations of the track defining the maximum capacity of each type of wagon and the need to minimize shunting in sidings belonging to customers. Each type of wagon can carry certain types of containers. The application should quickly and accurately process input data about orders and substituted rolling stock for loading plan which includes all the restrictions.
