Summary/Abstract: Legal regulations establish many rules and norms aimed at maintaining proper working conditions of the society. One of the activities promoting health in the workplace is compliance with the provisions of the international legal act created under the auspices of WHO – the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Conservation. The document was created in response to the growing number of people smoking nicotine and the related health situation. Poland has made a commitment in the field of health and socio-economic policy, which assumes reduction and elimination of the use of tobacco products in public areas. Compliance with the law should significantly improve the health situation of society by reducing the percentage of people struggling with tobacco-related diseases and the health consequences of passive smoking. The aim of the work is to present the most important activities in the field of health promotion carried out in places where people undertake various earning activities. The work uses a method of analysis and criticism of the literature consisting in a review of the literature and obtaining knowledge in a given field.
