Summary/Abstract: Human trafficking and slavery are currently leading to undermining important elements of national security, distorting markets and generating financial benefits of transnational criminal groups and terrorist groups. Terrorist organizations such as ISIS or Boko Haram, using human trafficking and slavery, show not only extreme brutality, but they treat this criminal activity as a way of recruiting supporters and financing their activities. According to the Walk Free Foundation research for 2016, over 46 million people in the world are slaves. The definition of slavery says that this is a social phenomenon (and at the same time a factual or legal state) in which the social – human individual is the object of another man’s ownership. The term “object of ownership” can be interpreted as both a legal form and an advanced relationship of dependencies.
