Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was an analysis of the scope of hospital patient migration from Lublin region to other areas in Poland. The analysis was limited to health and therapeutic programmes as well as chemotherapy, radiotherapy and highly specialised services. In order to understand the extent of provided services and their monetary value, the data from the National Health Fund (NHF) in Lublin was used. The NHF data was based on reports from the Lublin region healthcare providers. Total costs of hospital treatment - health and therapeutic programs, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and highly specialized services for migrating patients, and percentage structures of these costs by region, unique patient type and illness type were analysed. The majority of the services provided as a part of the health and therapeutic programs, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and highly specialised services, were delivered in Mazowieckie region.The health and therapeutic program with the highest costs was the treatment of the pulmonary arterial hypertension. The highly specialised services programmes with the highest costs were heart defect surgeries, adult thoracic aorta surgeries and heart transplants.
