Summary/Abstract: The scope and shape of social welfare as a whole and of its organizational units remains under some significant transformations in the conditions of Polish reality. However, it is not without complications and failures. Nevertheless, it seems that these changes are inclined towards thesocial welfare’s getting free from this “oppressive and bureaucratic” model of services provision to the benefit of a “caring” model that assumes autonomy and individualism of residents. In this article, I make an attempt to answer a question regarding the extent to which it is noticeable and experienced in social welfare homes to. Therefore, my aim is to outline the organizational culture encountered in the contemporary state-owned welfare centers in our country.
