Summary/Abstract: Changes taking place on the markets also apply to the music market. The quoted statement was accurate several years ago; now, however, considering technological progress, these changes lose their validity. Ways of distributing music and its consumption are changing thanks to the technological progress, for example the invention of sound compression to formats like MP3 and dissemination of the Internet. This practice is the key to run the music business.
