Summary/Abstract: Everyone has the right to develop a career. Unfortunately, people with disabilities often struggle with difficulties caused not only by the disease, but also with obstacles caused by social mentality on their career path. The article presents the results of pilot studies carried out among persons with a diagnosed degree of disability, suffering from epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. Identification of barriers and stereotypes functioning in their work environment is intended on draw attention to the fact that people with disabilities cannot fully follow their dream career path. The research also shows that employers’ knowled geabout chronic diseases is really small. People with disabilities want to work, develop and achieve their professional goals. They can also indicate solutions that, in their opinion, can contribute to increasing professional activity at every stage of their career.
