Summary/Abstract: Managing people is a complex process conditioned by different circumstances. The decision-making process is influenced, among others, by individual factors including demographic characteristics of managers, such as gender. The discussion about the differences and similarities between women and men managers has a long tradition. However, there is a lack of research on decision-making in relation to diversified work teams, especially in terms of their lifestyle. In this article, we have attempted to answer the research questions: do women and men managers see the diversity of their teams due to the lifestyle of employees? How does the gender of managers differentiate their opinions on this? In the first part of the article, we reviewed literature dedicated to women and men managers. In the next part, we presented the method of our research and their results. The research was a survey, we used the CAWI to collect the opinions of the respondents. The study involved 1002 managers from Polish organizations. The results of the survey show that womenand men managers can make different choices, taking into account the lifestyle of employees, but there are the situations in which their decisions are not different. Some differences confirm the colloquial perception of men and women in managerial positions; others differwith common beliefs.
