Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of own survey research conducted in November 2016 among 564 individual investors in Poland. The aim of the conducted research is the evaluation of the impact of selected personal characteristics and investing experience of the stock investors on the directions and a given way of investing. In the scope of this article, the determinants of stock investors’ decisions were analysed in the context of stock price perception as a significant factor conditioning the investment decisions. According to the study, there is a group of investors who make decisions relying entirely on their intuition. The investor’s personal characteristics, including their level of knowledge and experience, have the impacton the investment decisions of buying stocks at a specific nominal unit price.
