Summary/Abstract: The Kyriakodromion of Sophronius of Vratsa has three moral discourses by Kliment of Ohrid. Two of them have been included in their original form, while the Discourse on the Elevation of the Cross has become part of a work compiled by Sophronius. The article discusses the complicated and sometimes contradictory relationships between the medieval tradition and the new literary language practice in the work of one the founders of the New Bulgarian literary language.
