The Pathology of Cross-sector Partnerships

Summary/Abstract: The literature focuses on the positive aspects of the functioning of cross-sector partnerships, points to the social benefits, synergies and legitimacy to take such initiatives. However, the reality of establishing and functioning of partnerships often deviates from the principles and goals postulated in theory that should guide them. The article focuses on the negative aspects of the functioning of cross-sector partnerships. The list of the most common pathologies of cross-sectoral partnerships has been identified and discussed. The analysis proposes to minimize and prevent this type of phenomena.
