Economic Effectiveness of Insurance Concluded by Communities in Poland in Years 2013-2017

Summary/Abstract: Spending of funds of local government units through public procurement should be characterized by good economic efficiency. The aim of the paper is to assess the economic effectiveness of insurance concluded by communities in Poland. In the paper, as a measure of this efficiency, the relation of compensation paid to the insurance price was used. The source of data were documents published in the process of awarding public contracts. A hypothesis was put forward that the insurance concluded by Polish communities is not economically effective for local self-government.
