Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to examine whether the subject such as ‘Career Path Design’is needed by art school students. Research material was obtained using observational studies, interviews, and document analysis via qualitative methodologies. Subjects were recruited from art schools including the Academy of Fine Arts, as well asother music, film and theatre academies. From the interviews, most students (%) did not have a clear idea of their career path both during and after graduation. For many students, entering the academies was their ‘dream goal’ with little thought of career options later inlife. The collected data shows that up to 97% of respondents rated their personal experienceand the independent value of their field of study positively.
