Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to make the assessment of the adaptation of touristat tractions for the needs of people with disabilities. Within field research (inventory) of particular areas and tourist facilities, their condition and equipment have been diagnosed,as well as their availability and possibility of using by disabled people. In particular, the analysis of accessibility, the absence of barriers, assessment of the difficulty of routesand tourist development (gastronomy, tourist information centres, toilets, car parks) for people with different types of disability, including people in wheelchairs, has been carried out in this work. As many as 735 tourist attractions of Poland from all 16 provinces have been studied in this research. The results indicate that the majority of the analyzed andevaluated tourist routes (nearly 95%) meet the conditions of their adaptation for the disabled. They also show progressive, in the growth dimension, tendencies to eliminate barriers and ease the difficulties of tourist routes in Poland, intended for use by people with disabilities.
