Summary/Abstract: Main principles of the new global logistics concept of „the physical internet” have been described in this paper. The definition of the term „the physical internet” is determined. It is reasoned the expediency of the principles of this concept in functioning of global logistics systems, particularly into the activity on the level of logistics companies. The state of projects implementation developed on the basis of this concept in Europe, USA and Canada has been provided separately.
